The Connecting Cities network was launched successfully during two days of Helsinki workshops. Altogether 20 curators and producers from 11 cities attended the workshop and participated in the Media Facades Festival Helsinki 2012 programme, including the City Sets and Media Facades seminar.
In Helsinki, the partner group discussed strategies and practices for co-operation as well as curatorial and administrative guidelines for the chain of festivals, conferences and workshops organized by the network. The next curator meeting will take place in Aarhus during the Media Architecture Biennale and it will involve selecting art projects for the 2013 Connecting Cities events with the theme "Networked City".
