Documentation for the Open Advisory Session for the Minna Tarkka Lectures

It has been a very inspiring summer break for our team at M-Cult. Now we are ready and full of energy to go ahead with the autumn season. We are looking forward to sharing what is coming next! 

However, we could not come back without mentioning last spring’s Open Advisory Session for the Minna Tarkka Lectures: we connected with you through an event facilitated by Tellervo Kalleinen & Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen from Studio Kalleinen, hosted by M-Cult in collaboration with Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma & Aalto Media Lab, as well as a wonderful edible display by Caroline Suinner. We centered our gathering and shared thoughts around four relevant questions: 

What are the most urgent topics in relation to art, media and civic society?

What technologies do we need to keep track of?

Which individuals and communities should we hear from?

Which works of art have opened up new critical discourses or brought moments of joy?

Your participation was very insightful and a great pleasure for us to be able to gather and comment on the present and future matters on media art and culture within civic societies. Thank you for joining us again!
