City reporters is a workshop/production format aimed at the creation of small neighbourhood documentaries on local issues and places, histories and persons. The series kicked off in 2009 with two first citizen reporter workshops using the new video functions of mobile phones.
Maunula - February 2009: The Maunula reporters collected local histories by interviewing people about places and memories of their neighbourhood.
Vuosaari - May 2009: A group of multicultural families shared their pleasures of nature and recreation in the beautiful seaside and forest areas of Vuosaari.
In 2010 the series continued with in Maunula (Spring) and Kontula (Autumn) using open source media tools.
A further edition was realised in Kallio in 2012.
