Central Park Archives - workshops 19.8. & 1.9.

14.08.20

The Central Park Archives project organises a workshop to introduce open tools and practices for collaborative online publishing. Why and how to contribute to Wikipedia, Wikidata, OpenStreetMap and other open projects, and use Creative Commons licenses to grant permission to share?

We will use topics and materials of the Central Park as case examples in the workshop. If there is interest, the participants can learn and create new Wikipedia articles on related places, organisations and natural phenomena.

Both sessions finish with a short 'clinic' for the Central Park Archives, where you can book a private session with project team members for sharing your own collection with the archive. Bring your materials with you eg. on a memory stick or hard drive. You can also bring your laptop.

The workshop follows corona safe guidelines:
*maximum 30 participants, distanced seating in large space, ventilation
*registration required: sign up here for the workshop and book a clinic session
*masks provided for all participants
