The report on Media Facades Helsinki describes the production process, introduces the projects and evaluates the outcomes of the festival.
Over 10 days, the festival presented 21 events in 6 Helsinki venues, and received an estimated audience of 5000 participants. The process involved developing five new media art pieces for premieres in Helsinki and touring in other Media Facades cities. Altogether, over 30 artists were presented in the MFF Helsinki programme.
The successful festival was experimental in its form, process and context. At m-cult, the theme will be carried forward in workshops and project development, with the objective to present the next festival edition in 2012.
